Created by Christian Nieves and Manuel Lozano, The Physics Show: Make Physics Great Again was a theatrical play performed by a group of physics students and other majors from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. The play followed two time travelers who team up with the president of the United States to visit history’s greatest scientists and save the world from an imminent catastrophe.
The show explored different areas of physics, such as classical mechanics, electromagnetism, and relativity, through entertaining physical science demonstrations, comedy, and audience participation. The play covered four historical periods: 1693, 1860, 1911, and 1953. They visit well-known scientists like Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei, and Albert Einstein, and others not so well known by the general public, such as Marie Curie, Michael Faraday, and J. Robert Oppenheimer.
The play was presented three times for the students and faculty at University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez during the Spring 2019 semester.
